The Long Table Collective is for anybody who is even the slightest bit creative and wants a cheer squad.
Not a critique group.
Not a networking event.
Not a place where unfinished projects go to die in the back of a cupboard.
A CHEER SQUAD
A place where people can make things, try things, abandon things, start again, and be encouraged every step of the way.
There are lots of creative communities out there, and many of them are brilliant. But they can sometimes feel a bit like watching the World Cup when you're a Sunday league footballer. You're technically playing the same game, but it's not really the same experience.
The people at the very top are often exceptional. They're professionals. They've dedicated years to their craft. Their work is beautiful, polished and inspiring.
But most of us aren't trying to be in the World Cup.
We're the Sunday league players.
We're the people who paint after work, sew on weekends, write stories that nobody sees, make pottery that isn't perfectly round, fill sketchbooks with half-finished ideas, and start projects simply because they make us happy.
And there are a lot more of us.
The Long Table Collective exists to celebrate beautifully ordinary creativity.
